Close up of quilting
During college our son spent a semister studying in Sweden.  I asked that he find some quilting fabric to  bring home to me.  For months he told me there were no fabric stores in Sweden.  I suggested he 'try harder'; I was certain there were quilters in Sweden.  He finally found an 'arts and craft' store only block from his college.  He brought me three fat quarters.  Hmmm, fabric in Sweden looks like fabric here.

Close up of pieicing

resources_pg1.html One of my first paper pieced projects.  It did not take me long to get seriously hooked on this method of piecing.  The only quilting I did on this project was stitching in the ditch.  I found this pattern free on the Internet.

This was my first trapunto attempt.  I made this project using a pattern from the book...
You can see in the close up of the quilting I still needed to get more uniform in my stippling.

This was made only to have more time to practice my machine quilting.

I had a lot of fun piecing this wallhanging and as always had a blast doing the machine quilting. (2006)

I enjoyed making this so much I made For the Joy II.
See the quilting close up.

Both wallhangings measure about 48 inches square.
